Expect to Be Prosecuted
In California, the police will almost always arrest a person accused of domestic violence. Furthermore, the State will typically prosecute such cases, even when the victim changes her mind.

The Legal Process
When your case goes to the District Attorney (DA), I will attempt to negotiate a satisfactory resolution to your case. Following these consultations, the DA will either drop the charges against you, or proceed to the preliminary hearing. In the event negotiations prove unsuccessful, I will represent you at the hearing, where a judge will decide whether or not your case should go to trial. If it does, my experience as a trial lawyer will prove invaluable, and I will do everything possible to protect your rights.
